An exhibition marking our 20th anniversary, Dear Earth is a message from all the artists involved to the planet we live on. Each work in the exhibition reflects care for the planet and the value of our efforts to save and understand it, offering a glimpse of hope and positive change.

We are delighted to share with you our selected new makers who have completed our Materialise programme in 2026, since graduating in 2024. After co-developing a programme of business and creative opportunities with the group, the year concluded with a mini residency in the countryside of Fife. In Tension is an online exhibition produced in collaboration with 16 neurodivergent artists from Neuk Collective. Encapsulating the divide felt by many neurodivergent artists between multiple contradicting factors, the exhibition explores the balance between external pressures and the need to find space where a creative, neurodivergent brain can make work and flourish.

Hag. Knowledge, Power & Alchemy through Craft challenges perceptions of women and craft, seeking to reclaim and redefine the term ‘Hag’ for the current age by celebrating the strength, wisdom, activism, rebelliousness and creativity of craftswomen.

This year Materialise brings together an exceptional group of emerging designers and makers that were selected from 2023 graduating year. In the last year we have watched them all develop their practice in new and ambitious ways. Some working towards a new collection of work and others researching and testing new ways of working, embarking on international residencies, exploring the possibilities of their chosen materials and finding their voice as a maker.
